Agentic UX

Agentic UX has a new primitive: the interrupt

Not a notification. Not a loading state. A pause in agent execution where a human has to decide whether to proceed.

The interrupt is where trust is built or destroyed.

And most teams design the pause without designing the surface it lands on.

The agent stops. The human opens a panel. The context is incomplete. The stakes are unclear. They click approve because they don't know what else to do.

That's not oversight. That's a liability with a checkbox.

The interrupt needs a designed surface, one that carries the right context, surfaces the right risk signal, and makes the decision legible.

Build the interrupt surface before you build the orchestration layer. Not after.
