Design gets invited too late. That's a belief problem

There's a structural problem in enterprise design that nobody talks about openly.

Design is invited into the process after the strategic decisions are made. We're handed a PRD and asked to make it usable. Then we wonder why the product feels bolted together, because the thinking happened upstream without us.

The best design outcomes I've seen come when design is a thinking partner at the point of ambiguity, not a production resource at the point of execution.

That's not a workflow change. It's a belief change about what design is for.
