Agentic UX
Agentic UX isn't a new interface pattern. It's a new contract
Agentic experiences are not just UI with better autocomplete.
They require a fundamentally different design contract with the user.
Traditional interfaces say: "You are in control. We will execute what you tell us." Agentic interfaces say: "We can act autonomously. Here's what we did and why."
That shifts almost everything: information architecture, trust signals, undo models, audit trails, confidence communication, interrupt patterns.
Most teams designing "agentic" features are applying the old contract to a new context. The interface looks modern. The mental model is 2018.
The hardest design problem in AI right now isn't generating the right output. It's building appropriate trust at the right moment.
